Bring Out the ‘Monster’ for a Halloween Cam Treat

Bring Out the ‘Monster’ for a Halloween Cam Treat

Feeling sexy during this spooky Halloween season? Well, with thousands of fans heading online to have erotic adventures with their favorite models this October, it’s time to flex those creative muscles. Because while it may be tempting to bring out standard, run-of-the-mill outfits like “hot nurse,” “slutty witch,” “smokin’ fireman” or “handcuffs-loving police officer,” we think you can get a little more creative than that — and by doing so, you’ll soon be swinging around a bag full of tokens, smiling like a jack-o-lantern.

DO THE MONSTER MASH-UP

You can have all the slickest threads in the game or be a master crafter, but half the cosplay is found in the acting.

Just like Frankenstein was created from several body parts, imagine the possibilities when you mash up two very different characters creatively.

For example, you can do a “Hello Kitty meets Marvel’s Wolverine” costume by ordering some cheap plastic Wolverine claws online, painting them pink, grabbing your favorite kitty-ears headband and then alternating between a flirty/cute personality and a tough-as-nails X-Men vibe. Meowing and mayhem!

Or you can do something quirky like “clown” meets “James Bond,” wearing a spy-worthy suit and tie, painting your face like a clown, putting on a rainbow wig or using some temporary hair dye, and then reaching for that martini glass. Tell fans you like it shaken, not stirred — then attempt with hilarious clumsiness to juggle a few soft items in the air. That’s soft, so you don’t hurt yourself if they land on your toe!

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH HORROR DECOR

Changing up your cam room can really enhance your costume game, so consider spreading some fake spider webs around, switching up your standard blue/white lights for some dark red, orange or violet lighting, and maybe even see about getting some dry ice for mist or using a strobe light for a silhouette “phantom dancer” routine. If you’re channeling a sexy forest nymph costume, bring your plant babies, or buy a few fake ones if your green thumb isn’t prime. Just try not to stain your white rug with fake blood, and be careful with blood in general since it can violate a platform’s TOS. Oh, and don’t set your apartment on fire with loads of candles.

ACTING IS HALF THE COSTUME

You can have all the slickest threads in the game or be a master crafter, but half the cosplay is found in the acting. So if you’re portraying a character from a popular show, movie or video game, study their mannerisms. How do they sit, gesture, emote and stand? Mimic that. What are their favorite sayings/phrases? Memorize them and drop them frequently during your show. That can help even a budget costume come to life with homemade acting flair.

YOU CAN BE SCARY/FUNNY, NOT JUST SEXY

Every year, there are funny costumes that get a good laugh at a Halloween party or scary outfits that garner plenty of attention online. While your fans may prefer you in a “sexy seducer” type of ensemble more often than not, have a few “gag” chat goals where they can “make you” wear a hideous plastic mask of some gruesome creature for 10 minutes, pour green slime over your chest — make sure you find some body-safe materials — or put on a big lobster claw glove or even a full-body gorilla suit. Of course, those are pricey, so ask for it via a wishlist if you don’t have one lying around.

JACK-OFF-LANTERN CARVING SESSION

Hold your very own pumpkin-carving cam show, taking care not to cut yourself due to being too distracted by chat. You can offer your highest tippers the chance to select which pattern you’ll carve into the pumpkin, entertain them as you scoop out all those nasty seeds while making “I’m so grossed out” faces at the camera and then have those pumpkins in the background every time you’re online the rest of the month. Consider putting a real or battery-operated candle inside to make their faces glow. And of course, you can always get sexy with the pumpkin’s erm, holes... just don’t get carried away à la “American Pie”.

So! Whether you’re conjuring a spooky costume from nothing with crafting and budget-friendly accessories, decorating your room with enough ghoulish vibes to make someone call the Ghostbusters or putting on a wild Halloween show that’s a real scream, there’s no reason your October can’t be an unforgettable month-long affair.
